Benjamin Perry Davidson MS, ATC

Benjamin Davidson earned his Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Southern Utah University in 1972. He then attended Indiana State University where he earned his Master of Science in Athletic Training in August of 1973. Ben spent the majority of his career at Southern Utah University where he worked as both the Head Track Coach and Head Athletic Trainer before entering into the realm of education. From 1979 to 2002, he served as an Assistant Professor of Physical Education and Director of the Athletic Training Internship Program. He retired in 2013 as the Athletic Training Major Program Director and Associate Professor of Physical Education. During his career, Ben worked as the District 7 Representative for the Board of Certification Test Site Administrators Committee, BOC Examiner Development Workshop Facilitator, and BOC Test Site Administrator. He served as the RMATA Treasurer. Ben has served as a Volunteer Athletic Trainer for the U.S Olympic Training Center, Head Athletic Trainer of the Utah Summer Games from 1986 to 1999 and a volunteer AT for numerous winter events in Utah. He is married to his wife, Cindy, and has three children: Jennifer, James and Matthew.
