RMATA Scholarships

Students do not have to be enrolled for the following academic year.

Application closes on December 31st.Winners will be announced the following February-March.

Four professional/post-professional level and one doctoral scholarship available; each are $2000
Professional Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

Must be a current student at a CAATE accredited program in an RMATA institution
-
Must be an NATA member
-
Must complete application and have a certified member complete the ATC recommendation form
Post-Professional Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
-
Must be a current student at an RMATA institution pursing Master’s degree
-
Must be an NATA member
-
Must complete application and have a certified member complete the ATC recommendation form
Doctoral Scholarship Eligibility Requirements
-
Must be an RMATA/NATA member
-
Must complete application and have a certified RMATA/NATA member complete the AT recommendation form
-
Candidate may be enrolled any doctoral program within the United States

NATA Foundation Scholarships
-
Must be an NATA member for any of the scholarship options listed below
-
Approximately 65 total scholarships available at $2300 each
-
Applications open during November and close January 15th of each year

Professional Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

Be enrolled in a CAATE accredited entry-level master’s program that concludes with a master’s degree
-
Have a cumulative overall GPA of at least 3.2 (based on a 4.0 maximum)
Post-Professional Master’s Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

Be BOC certified athletic trainer and enrolled in a master’s program that concludes with a master’s degree
-
Have a cumulative overall GPA of at least 3.2 (based on a 4.0 maximum)
Doctoral Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

Be BOC certified and be enrolled in a doctoral degree program
-
Have a cumulative overall GPA of at least 3.2 (based on a 4.0 maximum)

NATA Foundation Student Writing Awards
The Student Writing Contest categories are as follows:
-
Original Research
-
Summary Evidence Research
Includes: critically appraised topics (CATS), literature reviews, systematic reviews, meta-analyses -
Clinical Practice Research
Includes: quality improvement projects, case study/series, evidence practice reviews
Please see Student Writing Contest – NATA Research & Education Foundation (natafoundation.org) for more specific information and application process. Awards range between $250-$500 each. Due date is February 1st.

NATA Foundation Research Grants
The NATA Foundation have several levels of grants offered. Due dates for proposals and funding varies by category. See the NATA Foundation website for more specific information and application requirements.

Master’s grants are $1000 each and application process is open in July. Due date is August 1 for following year.

Doctoral grants are $2500 each and the application process opens January 1. Due date is February 15th.
-
Professional grants range from $20000-$50000 and due date for preproposals is February 15th.
